About Me

In short, I’m just a simple guy who’s passionate about loving God, loving others, and exploring the life of the mind. A thoughtful pilgrim on a journey of faith, I enjoy reading about and discussing all things philosophical and theological, and have devoted this site to capturing some of the things I’ve learned and experienced along the way.

When not buried in a book of some sort, I spend most of my time playing dad while also working full-time in the tech space as a Salesforce Consultant (both of which I love!). Outside my career, I’ve also enjoyed serving in a ministry capacity for a variety of organizations and causes, acting as a Board Member of City Love Foundation, as a Founding Member of Christianity on Tap, and as a Chapter Director for Reasonable Faith as well as the New Canaan Society. Lastly, I am also the author of Faith Seeking Belief, a book I wrote while in grad school and which largely serves as the foundation for much of the content on my current blog, Rethinking Faith.

A student of life through and through, I love to learn and hold a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University, a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Philosophy from Houston Christian University with a Certificate in Christian Apologetics, and briefly pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Humanities from Faulkner University before leaving to pursue further study through the Department for Continuing Education at Oxford University.

At the end of the day, though, I’m just a regular guy who enjoys hanging out with family and friends, reading good books, discussing deep topics, eating Mexican food, watching Netflix, enjoying the outdoors, sipping scotch, smoking cigars, traveling the world, playing golf, and (most of all) spending time with my wife and two sons.
