Bryan N. Smith is a creative thinker, writer, editor, designer, and publisher who has a penchant for philosophical theology and the life of the mind. He is the director of Reasonable Faith Sugar Land, a local chapter based in Sugar Land, TX associated with the ministry of world-renowned philosopher and theologian Dr. William Lane Craig, and is also a founding member of Christianity on Tap, a men’s ministry dedicated to fostering lively and friendly dialogue in the public sphere every week on all things related to Christian Theology, Apologetics, and Philosophy.

In line with his passion for exploring and discussing the big questions in life, Bryan is the author of Faith Seeking Belief, a philosophical treatise which explores faith, belief, and the viability of Christian agnosticism, and is the owner of Lighthouse Rock Publishing, a publishing company whose mission is to provide intelligent and practical resources to help inspire and encourage readers to live more empowering and meaningful lives in service of love for God and neighbor.

A strong advocate and practitioner of transformational education via lifelong learning, Bryan holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University, a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Philosophy from Houston Baptist University with a Certificate in Christian Apologetics, and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Humanities from Faulkner University, alongside additional study through the Department for Continuing Education at Oxford University.

He and his wife Laura, and their son Jack, reside near Houston, TX, where Bryan maintains a full-time career in the maritime oil and gas industry. Outside of his career, ministry, and studies, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling the country, listening to jazz, sipping scotch, smoking cigars, and reading the classics.
